Arcane - Vi and Powder

At the moment I'm watching the new Riot animated series "Arcane", on Netflix, and I couldn't resist to do a drawing about it. Here you can see Vi and Powder, main characters of the story. Go and check it out, the combination of tecniques and the dynamics are really interesting. Congratulations to Riot Games for this fantastic show.

As a big fan of 2D and storytelling, having studied; Art, Animation and Computer Games myself, I love the concept style showcased for the project. The 3D animated characters and backgrounds with that look of 2D painted illustration works beautifully for the storyline. Not easy goal to achieve in general, here you are able to appreciate the details of human behaviour, feelings, differences, fear. Since I watched their "Warriors" promo years ago I always kept an eye on Riot cinematics, seeing those strong VFX that always make me want to sit on my computer and try to start drawing lightnings and explosions.

Looking forward for the last 3 episodes of the season on the 20th of November. I hope more series like this are made so we can enjoy the possibilities for the 3D and 2D worlds. A total recomendation to watch.
